After getting into a fight with a gardener at Deputy President William Ruto’s private property in Karen, Nairobi, a police officer who is assigned to DP Ruto has been rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. The fight took place at DP Ruto’s residence.
After the argument escalated into a physical altercation, the gardener is said to have struck the officer, Corporal Timothy Mugendi Rucha, on the back of the head with a tool, as stated in the police report that Citizen Digital received.
According to a portion of the report filed by the police department, “the officer was transferred to Nairobi West Hospital in severe condition with several head injuries.”
The event took place early on Thursday morning, sometime about 12.20 in the morning.
Since then, the gardener, who has been named as Nicholas Kibiwot Rono, has been taken into custody, and his arraignment is pending.
